Ms. Singleton
Director - Intermediate and Advanced Orchestra
Helena Singleton is a violinist and middle
school orchestra director in Broken Arrow Public
Schools. She studied Music Education at the
University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma, graduating
Summa Cum Laude. Throughout her career thus
far she has been heavily involved with music and
music education programs. She has participated
in her city’s El Sistema program, Sistema Tulsa, since its inception, transitioning from a student to a teacher in 2019, as well as teaching at another El Sistema program, Harmony Project Tulsa since 2019. Ms. Singleton has participated in Oklahoma’s All-State orchestra, Oklahoma Summer Art Institute at Quartz Mountain, YOLA National Festival, and was a member of the YOLA National Institute, where she traveled to Scotland and London, playing alongside the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Maestro Gustavo Dudamel at the Hollywood Bowl and the Edinburgh International Festival, playing alongside the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and working with other passionate young musicians.
Margaret Foster is a violinist and middle school
orchestra director in Broken Arrow Public Schools.
She studied Music Education at the University of
Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma,
graduating in December 2023. She moved to
Broken Arrow in 2024. Prior to being an orchestra
director, she was very active in her high school orchestra, playing four instruments in four different orchestras. She received a service award in 2017 and Most Improved Student of the Year award in 2018. Ms. Foster is excited to be a part of Broken Arrow Orchestras and looks forward to teaching talented young students!
